Catwoman - music box 1978

Here is a rare item, I've recently encountered, featuring Catwoman in her golden age costume. This was made in Japan by the Price Import Co., from ceramic/porcelain. It measures about 8" tall and the figure appears to be handpainted, while the other graphics are appliques. There is a turn wheel underneath to play the music.

Here is a video of the Batman and Robin video in use

There are atlease these other Superhero and Super Villain Music Boxes:
Catwoman
Batman & Robin
Joker
Penguin
The Ridder
Shazam! (Captain Marvel)
Superman
WonderWoman

The Brave and the Bold has been a fun series and its so great to Catwoman's vintage costume make a return. Catwoman has made many appearances on Brave and the Bold, but this scene from the Friday, November 6th, 2009 episode is special. I'm hoping to see a Catwoman toy soon!

More Batman 197

Thought I'd share some nifty commissions I found on CAF, recreating Infantino's classic Batman 197. Mark Gordon commissioned these all.

Plus here's a much earlier Carmine Infantino COLOR recreation of Batman 197, from the gallery of Rick Loshiavo.

Last, but not least, here's a fab-oo recreation by James Lyle. See his gallery here

Silver Age Catwoman and Carmine Infantino

This Silver age cover is a grail for me - showcasing Catwoman's 2nd Silver Age cover and her 4th Silver Age appearance, and I was so pleased to find the original artist recreating his classic covers. Its signed by both penciler Carmine Infantino and inker Frank McLaughlin, and came with a letter of authenticity from Carmine. These golden/silver age greats are currently listing some recreations on ebay, under ID ehols, and on theartistschoice.com. Carmine picked this cover and penciled it in June, Frank inked it and his daughter is assisting them by listing in ebay. A huge thanks goes out to Erin for this gift, and for getting her dad (Frank) to pose for his pic!

And here's my pic of Carmine, when I have the pleasure to meet him in New York.

Catwoman artist profile: Trevor Von Eedon

Trevor Von Eedon penciled some of Catwoman's earliest solo stories in Batman 345 - 349.

Check out the site above for scans from his stories.

I am so pleased to own one of his pages, from "Terror Train", his favorite Catwoman story.

Catwoman artist profile: Jordi Bernet

Actually... Catwomen. Jordi worked on Batman Black & White with Howard Chaykin, featuring Catwoman in World War II era Gotham City. The piece below is an upcoming addition to my gallery! Having a Catwoman piece is an absolute Grail for me, and even though it's taken me 3 years to arrange a commission (long story for another time...) when Miguel announced a couple months ago that he was arranging commissions for Jordi, I jumped at the chance! This piece is actually a more detailed panel recreation from the Batman story. I love the Bernet-smile she has, Jordi's women are always perfection!

Miguel Angel Dominguez helps Jordi with his art sales, and was able to help me commission this piece - thanks Miguel! Check out M's gallery for great art for sale from Alfonso Azpiri and Jordi Bernet! Here's a few more of my favs from his gallery...

Batman 686 - Art

Wow, I am so in love with the Catwoman art from Batman 686, that Albert Moy posted for sale yesterday.

The splash page featuring Catwoman is a real prize at $1,500...if only I had the funds now!
